There is a vast range of jewels options for the tragus piercing :

Screw thread labret or clip-in labret

Very popular with a little gem or a real diamond (diamond tragus piercing),the labret is the most popular type of barbell for this piercing. It is made of a flat platform on one side that lean behind the ear and there's a screw thread on the other side where you can screw any jewel or ball.

Ring for tragus is very trendy. Though we recommend you to wait a complete heal (around 6 months) before wearing this type of jewel.

What size is a tragus piercing?

There is two main barbell gauge sizes for tragus piercings : 1,2mm(16G) and 1,6mm(14G) (barbell diameter).

As for tragus piercing, 1,2mm(16G) is the standard and most common gauge size. It's also the size that is generally used as first piercing jewel during healing.

1,2mm(16G) give you many options of jewels for your lip piercings, from the smallest and discreet to something more sophisticated (tragus diamond piercing or gold and emerald tragus piercing for example)

Less common, it is possible to wear piercing jewels with a 1,6mm(14G) gauge at your tragus. It is particularly recommanded to those who like to wear larger and more visible piercing jewels.

How to measure your tragus piercing?

It is important to have a piercing jewel at the perfect length.

A barbell that is too short can compress the skin and be painful when a barbell that is too long will bump or get caught in clothes.

To measure a labret you simply have to measure the barbell length excluding the platform base and screw head if there is one.

If it's a bioplast clip labret, measure it all the way excluding the platform base (see below)

To measure a ring for you're tragus piercing, simply use a ring you already have and measure the internal diameter as follow to know the size you need to get (in mm/in)

For tragus piercing, ring size vary between 6mm(0,23in) and 9mm(0,35in).

6mm(0,23in) and 7mm(0,27in) tend to be the most common sizes for this piercing.

For example if you like to wear your tragus ring close to the ear, you may want to choose a ring of 6mm(0,23in), and if you like your ring more pendant, choose a ring of 7mm(0,27in).

If you still have a doubt about the tragus ring size or piercing size, we recommand you to ask a professionnal piercer or do not hesitate to contact us.
